What is Circumcision Surgery?
Circumcision is the surgical removal of the foreskin, which is the skin covering the tip of the penis.
What Causes Circumcision Surgery?
• There is a medical need for circumcision, such as when the foreskin is too tight, to be pulled back (retracted) over the glans.
What is treatment for Circumcision Surgery?
• Circumcision is normally performed using intravenous sedation.
• During the procedure, the foreskin is shortened considerably and leaves the tip of the penis half or even fully exposed.
• Circumcision (removal of the foreskin) takes a half an hour to perform.
• After an hour or two the anesthetic wears off and complete sensation is returned to your penis.
